In a recent interview, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang reaffirmed the company’s strong commitment to the Chinese market, a move that underscores the critical importance of this region for the chip giant.
“It would be a tremendous shame to abandon the Chinese market, which is so vibrant and growing so rapidly,” Huang stated plainly, reflecting a strategic view shared by many in the industry.
Huang emphasized NVIDIA’s deep-rooted presence in China, spanning three decades, and the supportive, historically positive relationship it has cultivated there. He underscored China’s significance, declaring that “This is a market that is very important to us.”
“We have many long-term partners there who rely on our technology and products. It is both an honor and a responsibility to continue serving the Chinese market,” he added, further solidifying NVIDIA’s dedication to its Chinese clientele.
Furthermore, Huang was definitive in declaring that the Chinese market is irreplaceable. “Trying to offset China’s market share with growth in other regions is, logically, not feasible,” he explained, highlighting the unique scale and dynamics of China’s tech landscape.
Addressing the company’s product strategy, Huang acknowledged the current environment, stating, “The H20 is the last generation solution we can offer under current policies.”
“Going forward, we may need to go back to the drawing board and rethink our approach. There is no clearly defined path at this juncture, but we will continue to explore.”
