This trend is supported by data: a Visa survey conducted earlier in December revealed that nearly half of U.S. shoppers are already leveraging AI in their purchasing decisions.

While still in its nascent stages, Birwadker highlighted potential use cases for these AI-powered transaction tools, such as streamlining recurring purchases or facilitating the acquisition of event tickets. Visa is strategically expanding its reach, planning to launch pilot programs in Asia and Europe next year, and is actively collaborating with over 20 partners on the development of AI agent technologies. This proactive approach positions Visa at the forefront of a new era of intelligent commerce, where the efficiency and convenience of AI are set to redefine consumer spending habits.
