NEW YORK – In a move that underscores its commitment to expanding its high-net-worth client services, UBS Wealth Management US announced today that Mellany Bagtas has joined the firm as a Financial Advisor in New York City. This strategic addition, based out of the firm’s prestigious 299 Park Avenue office, will report to Associate Market Executive Demie Kommatas.

Bagtas joins UBS after serving as a First Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Morgan Stanley, bringing a wealth of experience refined over her career, which also includes roles as a Vice President – Wealth Management at Merrill Lynch, and as a banker at JPMorgan Chase.
Bagtas will work closely with executives, founders, business owners, and their families, offering customized financial strategies and providing informed guidance. This encompasses goal setting, creating individualized financial plans, tracking progress, and adapting strategies as needed. Her focus is on helping clients grow, protect, and transfer their wealth across generations, in line with their most important values and philanthropic goals.
Bagtas holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Finance, magna cum laude, from Mount Saint Mary College. Furthermore, she has previously served on the Board of Directors and as Past President of the Hudson Valley Estate Planning Council, as well as on the boards of various non-profit organizations.
She will be joined by Wealth Strategy Associate Kaitlin Weaver.
