His expertise is expected to drive the commercialization of 374Water’s AirSCWO technology and support the company’s strategic growth initiatives. Freels, an early supporter of 374Water, aims to leverage the technology for sustainable development and positive impacts across various sectors.

374Water is partnering with Cedar Rapids to pilot its AirSCWO system for destroying PFAS in municipal biosolids, aiming for a cleaner waste management solution. The project begins in Q1 2026, with results expected by Q2. This initiative seeks to offer a superior alternative to current methods, addressing growing concerns over “forever chemicals” and potentially validating 374Water’s technology for wider adoption in the wastewater sector.
