Honor is launching the innovative “Robot Phone” with a motorized, AI-powered camera and the slim Magic V6 foldable at MWC. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z TriFold, its first three‑panel foldable smartphone, debuting in South Korea on Dec 12 and later reaching China, Taiwan, Singapore, the UAE, with U.S. sales slated for Q1 2026. The black model offers a 10‑inch 2160×1584 display, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB storage, a large battery with 50 % fast‑charge in 30 minutes, IP48 rating and a price of about $2,450. Positioned as a limited‑run pilot, the device serves to test durability, hinge design, and software multitasking, reinforcing Samsung’s leadership ahead of Apple’s expected foldable entry and amid rising competition from Huawei, Xiaomi and others.

Huawei launched the Mate XTs, its second-generation trifold smartphone, on September 4, 2025. Priced from $2,520, the Mate XTs features a unique dual-hinge design which unfolds into a tablet-sized display. Huawei aims to solidify its position in the Chinese market, where it holds a leading market share in foldables. The launch highlights Huawei’s resurgence after U.S. sanctions, with its HarmonyOS and domestically sourced chips. Despite its success in China, global expansion remains a challenge. The Mate XTs features HarmonyOS 5.1, multitasking capabilities, and offers enhanced after-sales support.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 redefines the foldable smartphone with its ultra-slim design and enhanced AI capabilities. Thinner and lighter than previous models, it boasts larger cover and main displays for improved multitasking. AI integration, informed by user data, streamlines interactions with features like Smart Drag and Drop and Real-time Window. Live Briefing provides personalized notifications, ensuring users stay informed without constant unfolding. The Z Fold7 represents a fusion of sleek design and intelligent technology.
