Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China’s sustainability efforts are gaining recognition, with an upgrade from “A-” to “A” in Hang Seng Indexes Company’s 2025 ratings. Impressive environmental performance and corporate governance contributed to high rankings within the Hang Seng Composite Index and Hang Seng China A (Investable) Index. Ping An’s strategy focuses on integrated finance, health, and senior care, leveraging technology and green initiatives. The Group’s commitment extends to rural revitalization and community support through its “San Cun Hui” welfare platform.

China has released its first national standard for product carbon footprint in the home appliance industry, GB/T 46027-2025, focusing on room air conditioners. Led by Midea Air Conditioning, the standard will standardize carbon emission tracking and support national carbon label certification, vital for achieving China’s “dual carbon” goals. Foshan City will pilot air conditioner carbon footprint label certification. Midea is at the forefront, having already released carbon footprint reports and EPDs, and contributing significantly to both national and international ESG standardization efforts.
