After Jessica Guistolise discovered AI-generated deepfake pornography featuring her and other Minneapolis women created by her estranged husband using DeepSwap, she and other victims are fighting back. The images, sourced from social media, were used without consent, highlighting the accessibility and misuse of AI “nudify” apps. While the perpetrator’s actions may be legal, these women are advocating for stricter laws and increased accountability for both users and platform companies, driven by the psychological trauma and lack of legal recourse they have experienced.
