Apple Sets iPhone Launch Date Under New CEO

Apple announced Wednesday that it is holding a launch event at its headquarters in Cupertino, California, on Sept. 9.

Invites sent to the media include the tagline “Surprise and shine” and a glowing Apple logo. The event kicks off at 10 a.m. Pacific time.

Analysts expect the company to launch new iPhones and Apple Watches at the event. This anticipated lineup could also include Apple’s first foldable device, a significant strategic move into a rapidly growing market segment. The tech giant has recently refreshed its Mac lineup, announcing new Mac Mini and Mac Studio models equipped with advanced AI capabilities, which are slated to ship on Sept. 22.

Furthermore, a new iteration of Siri, dubbed “Siri AI,” is expected to debut. This advanced virtual assistant aims to leverage modern large language model technology, enabling it to interact with apps such as messaging and calendars more intelligently and contextually.
