SINGAPORE – Semiconductor assembly technology leader Kulicke & Soffa Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ: KLIC) announced today the upcoming retirement of Chan Pin Chong, Executive Vice President & General Manager of K&S Products & Solutions, effective December 1, 2025. Chong is stepping down to dedicate more time to his family.
“Chan Pin’s leadership has been invaluable to K&S,” stated Fusen Chen, President and Chief Executive Officer. “His contributions to innovation and operational excellence have left a significant mark on our portfolio and our people. We extend our deepest gratitude and wish him a fulfilling retirement.”
In a concurrent move, K&S announced the immediate elevation of two veteran executives. Ivy Qin, Vice President & General Manager of Wire Bonding, and John Molnar, Vice President & General Manager of Advanced Solutions, will now report directly to CEO Fusen Chen. Both Qin and Molnar bring over two decades of experience within Kulicke & Soffa, having risen through the ranks from development roles to leadership positions.
“Ivy and John possess a profound understanding of our product strategies, critical markets, and the evolving needs of our customer base,” Dr. Chen commented. “This streamlined reporting structure allows for closer collaboration as we continue to deliver innovative solutions that address the increasingly complex process challenges faced by our customers across key markets. Their deep expertise will be crucial in navigating the current landscape, characterized by rapid technological advancements and shifting global demands in semiconductor manufacturing.”
This organizational restructuring signals a continued focus on agility and responsiveness in a dynamic semiconductor market. K&S is betting on internal talent to drive future growth and maintain its competitive edge. The promotion of Qin and Molnar, experts with decades of experience within the company, rather than opting for external hires, underscores the importance of institutional knowledge and a deep understanding of K&S’s technological capabilities and customer relationships. Investors will be watching closely to see how this leadership transition impacts the company’s strategy, particularly in the face of growing competition in advanced packaging technologies and the ongoing demand for miniaturization and increased performance in semiconductor devices.
