Mobileye & VVDN Technologies: Bringing Next-Gen ADAS to India and Global Markets

The company announced today a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VVDN Technologies, a prominent Indian engineering and manufacturing services provider, to localize key components of Mobileye’s ADAS technology for Indian automakers.

The collaboration aims to accelerate the “Made-in-India” initiative, supporting Indian original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in integrating cutting-edge safety features into their vehicles. This move comes as India’s automotive sector experiences a significant transformation, driven by evolving safety regulations, heightened consumer demand for advanced technology, and the government’s push for domestic manufacturing under the “Atmanirbhar Bharat” (Self-Reliant India) campaign.

Mobileye’s decision to partner with VVDN leverages its extensive global expertise in ADAS systems, having shipped over 200 million system-on-chips (SoCs) worldwide. VVDN, with its robust local engineering, testing, and production infrastructure, provides the crucial on-the-ground support necessary to adapt and manufacture Mobileye’s technology for the specific needs of the Indian market and potentially for export-oriented platforms.

The initial focus will be on localizing key ADAS solutions, incorporating Mobileye’s EyeQ™ family of chips and associated sensor technologies.
