Sego Resources (OTC:SGOZF) has commenced a diamond drilling program at its Miner Mountain alkalic copper-gold project, mobilizing a drill and field team on November 12, 2025. The initial phase involves approximately 1,000 meters of drilling, specifically targeting the near-surface South Gold Zone and investigating deeper porphyry copper-gold mineralization within the Cuba Zone. This strategic move comes as the company aims to expand its understanding of the deposit’s potential and elevate its resource classification.
The South Gold Zone presents a compelling near-term opportunity. Historical drilling has revealed impressive intersections, including instances of 1.08 grams per tonne of gold (g/t Au) over 88.0 meters. A prior review by SRK Consulting estimated a target of 90,000 to 150,000 ounces of near-surface gold. The current program will focus on infill drilling, with four holes (~470 meters) designed to close an 80-meter gap in the existing drill pattern. This infill drilling is expected to provide critical data to upgrade the zone to an NI 43-101 “possible” resource category, a key step towards establishing a formal mineral resource estimate. The NI 43-101 is a Canadian standard for mineral resources and reserves, which requires a level of technical and economic study that supports the potential extraction of the mineral.
Beyond conventional cyanide-based extraction, Sego will also conduct non-cyanide leach testing on samples from the South Gold Zone. This initiative follows a prior bench-scale cyanide test that yielded a 95% gold recovery rate in 2021. The implementation of non-cyanide leach testing is a clear indicator that the company is focusing on reducing the environmental impact and costs of traditional gold mining.
The Cuba Zone represents a deeper exploration target with porphyry copper-gold potential. Sego’s planned drilling in this area is designed to test the extent and grade of the mineralization at depth, building on previous drilling results. This two-pronged approach, exploring both near-surface gold and deeper copper-gold porphyry potential, aims to unlock the full value of the Miner Mountain project.

Vancouver, British Columbia – Sego Resources Inc. (TSXV: SGZ) (“Sego” or “the Company”) announced the commencement of a diamond drilling program at the Miner Mountain Alkalic Copper-Gold project. A drill and field team have been mobilized to the site, preparing drill pads for an anticipated 1000-meter program.
The Miner Mountain Project exhibits Alkalic Porphyry Copper-Gold mineralization. The project contains near-surface, disseminated gold mineralization within the South Gold Zone and deeper, structurally controlled copper-gold mineralization in the Cuba Zone.
Drill intersections within the South Gold Zone have demonstrated grades up to 1.08 gpt gold over 88.0 m. The zone is defined as a zone measuring 285 m in length, a maximum 145 m in width, and extending to a vertical depth of approximately 70 m.
Program – South Gold Zone
-
The South Gold Zone contains a “Target Reviewed” 90,000 to 150,000 ounces of gold in near surface mineralization, based on a 2024 SRK Canada Consulting review.
-
Four holes totaling approximately 470 meters are planned to confirm the continuity of gold mineralization in an 80 m gap between sections. Drill core will be collected for specific gravity measurements to support an upgrade of the resource to a NI 43-101 “possible” category.
-
A non-cyanide based leaching process will be applied to South Gold Zone samples to confirm a preliminary bench scale cyanide test which returned gold recoveries of 95% in 2021, and potentially improve the economics and environmental aspects of the extraction process.

Program – Cuba Zone
-
Deep drill holes are planned in the Cuba Zone located 1,700 m northeast of the South Gold Zone.
-
A diamond drill hole will explore depths down to 500 m below a +1% copper porphyry intersection.
-
Drill hole 37 returned 4.4 m of 1.2% copper and 0.24 gpt gold within a wider 11 m interval containing 0.6% copper, 0.12 gpt gold mineralization at the final depth of 233 m.
-
In addition, platinum group metals will be analyzed in zones of new mineralization as indicated by 0.13 gpt palladium over 2 m in drill hole 37.
