From June 4th to 7th, in a showcase of cutting-edge design and technological innovation, ASKO will unveil its latest collection at the fair, which is known as a global trendsetter, bringing together over 600 design brands from more than 30 countries. This year’s focus: the harmonious blend of technology and aesthetics, with a strong emphasis on how design can elevate the human experience.

ASKO’s exhibition, themed “Breathing with Nature,” promises an immersive experience, channeling the essence of Scandinavian design philosophy. Visitors will be enveloped in a space designed to evoke a sense of tranquility, reflecting the brand’s commitment to sustainability and enduring design. The display aims to create an experience that embodies the brand’s heritage and its vision for a sustainable future.

A Century of Sustainability: Rooted in Nature

ASKO, rooted in over a century of Scandinavian design principles, perfectly blends minimalist aesthetics with practical functionality and a strong sense of human-centered design. The “Breathing with Nature” theme represents a contemporary interpretation of this classic design philosophy, initiating a timeless dialogue on the importance of sustainable practices.

The exhibition space itself draws inspiration from the lush landscapes of Scandinavia. A digital waterfall will greet visitors at the entrance, creating a sense of natural movement. The exhibit will feature moss micro-landscapes alongside floral installations. The incorporation of natural materials, combined with light and sound, will transport attendees to a vibrant Nordic wilderness.

Furthermore, ASKO will collaborate with industrial designer Chen Min to present an art installation. This installation will utilize the spray arms from ASKO dishwashers as fundamental components, creating a dynamic vortex-like structure that celebrates the power of water. This design will serve as a visual centerpiece with design and creative potency.

Driving Future Design: Inspiration Through Innovation

ASKO believes passionately in design as a catalyst for change. During Design Shanghai, the brand will host events to inspire and empower the next wave of designers.

ASKO will collaborate with IDEAT to host a forum featuring industrial designer Chen Min and Wang Pingzhong, the founder of Pingyuan Design. Continuing the spirit of the third ASKO Design Awards, which centered on balancing human needs and environmental responsibility through design, the forum will explore sustainable living and encourage innovative approaches to sustainable living.

As a hub of design energy, ASKO, working alongside IDEAT, will also host a special design night, featuring leading designers.
