HONG KONG – The FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, a global initiative aimed at broadening access to quality education and sports for children worldwide, has officially opened its application process. The Fund, backed by founding donor MetLife Foundation, is soliciting applications from non-profit organizations focused on K-12 education until December 31, 2025.
The Fund’s ambitious goal is to expand educational opportunities, improve literacy rates, and enhance athletic participation across over 200 communities globally. MetLife Foundation’s initial contribution of $9 million recognizes them as a key founding donor, setting the stage for the Fund’s target of raising $100 million.
