CNBC AI News – In a significant development within the burgeoning field of healthcare AI, Ant Group has announced that its “AI Health Guardian” has been selected as one of the first AI products to successfully pass the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology’s (CAICT) rigorous trustworthiness evaluation for large-scale medical health models.
The evaluation, conducted in May, utilized a specially designed professional test dataset to assess the AI Health Guardian.
Following comprehensive expert scoring and documentation review, the assessment confirmed that the AI Health Guardian met the required standards across five key areas: application capabilities within specific scenarios, performance metrics, security protocols, core model capabilities, and model service capabilities. This achievement firmly establishes its trustworthiness for practical use.
Ant Group’s foray into medical AI began in 2023. The company’s large language model now claims to be among the most widely applied models in the industry, with deep integration across multiple medical institutions, doctors, and hospitals, showcasing the power of collaboration.
Launched in September 2024, the AI Health Guardian leverages this specialized medical-focused large language model. It offers users a suite of AI-powered services, including doctor recommendations, health assessments, results interpretation, appointment assistance, and insurance inquiries.
The product has already served approximately 40 million users and has engaged over 60 renowned medical professionals to create AI “avatars” on the platform, further enhancing its capabilities and impact.
