VANCOUVER, BC – January 24, 2026 – Abitibi Metals Corp. (CSE: AMQ) (OTCQB: AMQFF) (FSE: FW0) has announced a significant new high-grade copper-gold intercept from its ongoing Phase 3 drilling program at the B26 Polymetallic Deposit in Quebec. This latest result reinforces the growing potential of the Western Down-Plunge High-Grade Zone, a key area within the project.
The standout intercept, identified in drill hole 1274-17-269W6, delivered an impressive 12.83% copper equivalent (CuEq) over 5 meters. This includes 6.15% copper and 7.93 g/t gold, within a broader interval grading 3.59% CuEq across 19 meters, starting at a depth of 913 meters. This assay confirms the exceptional grade continuity within one of the most economically vital zones of the B26 system. When calculated using current spot prices, this interval translates to a remarkable 18.15% CuEq over 5 meters, underscoring the substantial contribution of gold to the overall economic value of the deposit.
**Bolstering the Western Down-Plunge High-Grade Corridor**
This new intercept is situated approximately 125 meters east and up-dip from drill hole 1274-17-269W5, which previously reported a compelling 17.91% CuEq over 6.3 meters. This spatial relationship further validates and enhances the Western Down-Plunge model, demonstrating robust continuity along this high-grade corridor.
Further to the west and at deeper levels, Abitibi Metals’ Phase 3 drilling continues to expand the extent of the B26 mineralized system. Drill holes 1274-25-374W1 and 1274-25-374W2 successfully intersected the B26 copper-gold horizon, extending resource-grade mineralization by an additional 250 meters down plunge. Specifically:
* **Hole 1274-25-374W1** returned 2.04% CuEq over 2.0 meters and 1.39% CuEq over 3.0 meters.
* **Hole 1274-25-374W2** yielded 1.34% CuEq over 5.5 meters and 1.31% CuEq over 8.6 meters.
Collectively, these results highlight the considerable scale, strength, and continuity of the Western Down-Plunge mineralized shoot, which remains open for further exploration both at depth and along strike.
**Phase 3 Program Exceeds Expectations, Paving the Way for Phase 4**
The Phase 3 drill program, concluded in December 2025, comprised 40 drill holes totaling 24,544 meters, with assays pending for three remaining holes. The results reported to date have surpassed initial expectations, successfully defining a continuous high-grade zone extending approximately 250 meters vertically and 500 meters laterally. This zone remains open to the west and at depth, presenting significant opportunities for future resource expansion.
Abitibi Metals Corp. currently holds a 50% interest in the B26 Project and possesses the option to acquire an additional 30% interest from SOQUEM Inc., a subsidiary of Investissement Québec.
“These Phase 3 results provide compelling confirmation of the strength, continuity, and scale of the high-grade Western Down-Plunge extension at B26,” stated Jonathon Deluce, CEO of Abitibi Metals. “The consistency of these intercepts continues to exceed our expectations and further reinforces our confidence in the significant growth potential of this highly valuable zone.”
**Expanding a High-Quality Copper-Gold Resource**
The current resource estimate for the B26 Deposit stands at:
* **Indicated:** 11.3 million tonnes at 2.13% CuEq
* **Inferred:** 7.2 million tonnes at 2.21% CuEq
With mineralization remaining open along strike and at depth, Abitibi anticipates that ongoing drilling in Phase 4 will materially enhance both the size and grade of the resource.
Strategically located just 7 kilometers southeast of the former Selbaie mine, the B26 Deposit benefits from established regional infrastructure. This advantageous positioning solidifies the project as a compelling copper-gold asset within Quebec’s prolific Abitibi mining district.

**About Abitibi Metals Corp.**
Abitibi Metals Corp. is focused on acquiring and exploring mineral properties in Quebec, with a strategic emphasis on high-quality base and precious metal assets exhibiting significant growth and expansion potential.
The company’s flagship B26 Polymetallic project, optioned from SOQUEM, hosts a substantial and expanding resource base:
* **Indicated:** 11.3 Mt at 2.13% CuEq (1.23% Cu, 1.27% Zn, 0.46 g/t Au and 31.9 g/t Ag)
* **Inferred:** 7.2 Mt at 2.21% CuEq (1.56% Cu, 0.17% Zn, 0.87 g/t Au and 7.4 g/t Ag)
The B26 project’s proximity to the former Selbaie mine provides access to critical infrastructure for potential future mine development.
In addition to the B26 Deposit, Abitibi’s portfolio includes the Beschefer Gold project. Historical drilling at Beschefer has identified four significant intercepts with a metal factor exceeding 100 g/t gold, including notable results like 55.63 g/t gold over 5.57 m (BE13-038) and 13.07 g/t gold over 8.75 m (BE12-014) across four modeled zones, indicating substantial potential for further gold discoveries.
