The opportunities were abundant because of Dong’s support, yet Meng became, in Lang’s view, overly ambitious and driven by perceived personal attributes.”
He attributed Meng’s initial popularity to Dong Mingzhu’s influence, arguing that her departure, rather than her individual merit, was the news. Data from Feigua showed the “Gree Mingzhu Selected” channel attracted 2.92 million views that evening, with a peak concurrent viewership exceeding 30,000. The sales volume reached an impressive 5 million yuan, earning its place at the top of the “Major Appliances” category.
