Expanded integration on 7LFreight by WebCargo enables digital bookings for LTL and linehaul trucking across North America and Mexico

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. and BARCELONA, Spain, June 9, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — In a move set to reshape the freight landscape, Freightos (Nasdaq: CRGO), the digital freight booking and payment platform, and Forward Air Corporation (Nasdaq: FWRD), a leading provider of ground transportation services, today unveiled an expanded collaboration. This partnership will allow freight forwarders to seamlessly book less-than-truckload (LTL) and linehaul trucking services directly through the 7LFreight by WebCargo platform, marking a significant step towards a more digitized and efficient logistics ecosystem.

“Freightos is building a one-stop digital infrastructure for global freight, where supply chain organizations can manage multiple legs and services of a shipment seamlessly,” said Zvi Schreiber, CEO of Freightos. “This expanded collaboration with Forward reflects our broader growth strategy of supporting more transaction types—air, ocean, and trucking—and more stages of each transaction, from price discovery to final-mile delivery. We’re proud to integrate with Forward’s unmatched ground network to help power the future of efficient, multimodal logistics.”

This integration allows forwarders to leverage Forward’s expansive network – encompassing nearly 11,000 lane pairs, over 100 facilities, and delivering service across 96% of U.S. ZIP codes – directly within the Freightos platform. This builds upon an existing rate distribution integration, enabling digital booking capabilities for door-to-door, airport-to-door, and door-to-airport trucking services. The next phase will also incorporate airport cartage services, creating a cohesive link between Freightos airline bookings and streamlined first- and last-mile transport options. This is about providing a seamless experience for the customer.

“Digitization isn’t optional—it’s essential, because our customers move fast,” said Melissa Feeser, Senior Vice President of Sales at Forward. “This collaboration streamlines workflows for hundreds of shared customers, enabling faster, more accurate bookings through a single platform. They now have instant access to the largest airport-to-airport network in the U.S. With operational precision—like photo-delivery confirmation—our customers gain control, speed, and full visibility into how their value is delivered.”

The service is initially live on 7LFreight, with plans to expand across the broader Freightos platform, including WebCargo. This expansion holds significant promise for hundreds of their shared customers. Future plans include digital payments and cartage services on the roadmap, setting the stage for a more integrated freight experience, particularly beneficial for international shipments arriving by air and continuing by road. This strategic move underscores the ongoing push to modernize and streamline the complex world of global logistics.

“Forward is an essential provider within the North American expedited ground landscape,” said Brennan O’Dowd, CEO and founder of 7LFreight by WebCargo. “We’ve been proud to work with them over the years and we are excited for the access that this expanded partnership brings to our forwarder customers, helping them book door to door, middle mile and last mile more efficiently.”

U.S.-based freight forwarders can register for 7LFreight and begin booking Forward services, and other ground and air services here.
