During the Google I/O keynote, Product Manager Nishtha Bhatia demonstrated the capabilities of the audio smart glasses. She showcased how users can effortlessly summon Gemini to perform tasks such as placing a coffee order through DoorDash, receiving a summary of unread text messages, and adding events to their calendar. Beyond personal assistance, Google highlighted the glasses’ potential for navigation with turn-by-turn directions and enabling users to query Gemini about their surroundings. The device also features camera functionality, allowing users to capture photos and utilize Google’s AI image generator, Nano Banana, for creative transformations with prompts like, “Hey Google, take a picture and put everyone in funny hats.” This integration of AI into everyday fashion accessories signals a significant evolution in how consumers will interact with technology and the digital world.
