Gan Wei and Daughters Sing “Ye Zi,” Jia Yueting Praises Their Performance

In a heartwarming display of family connection, amidst the high-stakes world of tech and innovation, the daughters of Jia Yueting, founder of the electric vehicle company, delivered a Father’s Day tribute that resonated far beyond their vocal performance.

Accompanied by their mother, Gan Wei, the children recorded a rendition of the song “Wild Child” as a gift to their father. Gan Wei, in the accompanying video, stated, “Our story with Lao Jia might not have a perfect ending, but both of us hope he can rise above adversity. ‘Wild Child,’ like a bright, fierce light, is both a Father’s Day gift from the children and what I want to say to them.”

Unexpectedly, Jia Yueting himself commented on the post. In a show of affection, he responded, “You sing much better than Dad. May you be as brave, confident, and free-spirited as the song suggests.”

The song “Wild Child” carries a special significance for Yueting. In 2016, it was performed with passion at a LeEco event, where he used the lyrics to express his aspiration for freedom and optimism. Subsequently, it became a personal anthem for the executive.

Adding to the emotional backdrop of the day, Jia Yueting also dedicated the song “Father” to his own father.

Yueting shared, “Today is Father’s Day, and I haven’t seen my father in a long, long time. He is 84 years old this year, and we’re not the type to readily express our emotions. I sang ‘Father’ for him, and also for all the fathers in the world. Let love be given to our fathers.”
