Xingxing Wang Reveals Unitree Robotics’ Annual Revenue Exceeds One Billion Yuan: Company Employs Approximately 1,000

At the Tianjin Summer Davos, Unitree Robotics CEO Xingxing Wang shared the company’s remarkable journey from a solo startup to a robotics powerhouse, painting a vivid picture of the sector’s potential. Wang highlighted the burgeoning global robotics industry as the ‘next big thing,’ mirroring the hype around artificial intelligence, and positioning Unitree perfectly to capitalize on this trend.

Wang specifically credited the business-friendly environment in Hangzhou, China, as a critical factor in Unitree’s rapid ascent. “The open commercial climate in Zhejiang has been invaluable in attracting top talent,” he explained, “a crucial advantage, especially in the early stages of our development.”

He further elaborated on the company’s astonishing growth trajectory. From a one-man operation in 2016, Unitree now boasts a team of over 1,000 employees and a yearly revenue exceeding 1 billion yuan.

Wang underscored the significance of having clear goals. He recounted the initial setbacks of his 19-degree-of-freedom bipedal humanoid robot project during his freshman year of college. Despite early challenges, through consistent iteration and learning from failures, the company honed its expertise, eventually achieving global leadership in quadruped robot technology.

Unitree’s commitment to innovation is evident in its robust intellectual property portfolio. By the end of 2024, the company had filed over 180 domestic patents and secured over 150 international patents, a testament to its technological prowess.
