CNBC AI News, July 6, 2025 – ROMOSS, a prominent player in the mobile power sector, has announced a significant operational adjustment. Effective July 7, 2025, the company will be pausing production and operations for a period of six months. This move comes in the wake of a product recall impacting a substantial number of their power banks.
When reached for comment, a customer service representative on ROMOSS’s official Taobao flagship store stated, “This is a normal organizational restructuring exercise within the company. The current recall program is effective long-term.”
The representative further clarified, “Our customer service center is operating as usual, and while inquiry volumes are currently very high, we are working diligently to process all requests promptly.”
Earlier in June, ROMOSS initiated a recall for select ROMOSS-branded mobile power banks. The affected products include specific models manufactured between June 5, 2023, and July 31, 2024, totaling approximately 491,745 units.
The reason cited for the recall is a potential safety concern stemming from the quality of certain battery cell raw materials. In rare instances, these power banks may overheat during use, posing a risk of fire in extreme situations.
ROMOSS has committed to resolving the issue for affected consumers by offering a complimentary replacement with a new mobile power bank that meets or exceeds the original product’s value and safety standards, or a full refund.
