E3 Lithium Starts Delivery of Key Equipment for Clearwater Demo Plant

E3 Lithium Ltd. delivered key Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) equipment, including a 30-column system, to its Clearwater Project demonstration site. This milestone advances the vital Canadian lithium project toward validation of its process. Initial operations will test equipment and aim to produce battery-grade lithium carbonate. CEO Chris Doornbos states this moves pilot results toward commercial scale, highlighting Canada’s strategic lithium supply potential. The project leverages Alberta’s significant 21.2 million tonne lithium resource base.

CALGARY, Alberta—E3 Lithium Ltd. (TSXV: ETL) (OTCQX: EEMMF), a frontrunner in Canada’s critical minerals sector, has achieved a pivotal operational milestone with the timely delivery of specialized equipment to its Clearwater Project demonstration site. The shipment includes a 30-column Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) system and supplementary purification units, marking a crucial leap in advancing one of North America’s most promising lithium brine developments.

The modular system—comprising five interconnected skids designed for automated operation—will undergo rigorous assembly and testing over the coming weeks. Initial commissioning will focus on integrity checks and electrical validation before processing raw brine from surface reserves. Phase 1 operations aim to culminate in the production of battery-grade lithium carbonate, validating the proprietary extraction methodology.

“This delivery activates our roadmap from pilot validation to commercial scalability,” said Chris Doornbos, President and CEO of E3 Lithium. “With only a handful of comparable DLE systems operational globally, our partners’ expertise has been instrumental. We’re now positioned to demonstrate Canada’s potential as a strategic lithium supplier.”

The Demonstration Facility serves as a critical proof-of-concept for E3’s vertically integrated strategy, which claims 21.2 million tonnes of measured and indicated lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) resources across Alberta and Saskatchewan. A pre-feasibility study for the flagship Clearwater Project suggests a pre-tax NPV of $5.2 billion at full scale, reflecting growing investor optimism about unconventional lithium sourcing amid soaring EV demand.

Technical oversight for the project falls under Qualified Person Kevin Carroll, P.Eng., while operational updates remain contingent on successful equipment commissioning and brine processing outcomes.
