New venue to feature VIP club, rooftop event space; agreement also includes educational programming and engagement with Hall of Fame legends.
CANTON, Ohio, July 31, 2025 – KeyBank (NYSE: KEY) is making a major investment in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, securing naming rights for the Hall’s new event center. This play underscores KeyBank’s commitment to Northeast Ohio and its belief in the enduring power of the NFL franchise.
The KeyBank Center at the Pro Football Hall of Fame, slated to open in time for the 2027 Enshrinement Weekend, will be the region’s largest event space. Beyond Hall of Fame festivities, the venue is designed to be a multi-purpose hub for community events, signaling a boon for local tourism and economic activity.
“KeyBank’s partnership strengthens the very foundations of our community,” said Jim Porter, president & CEO of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. “This deal isn’t just about a state-of-the-art venue; it’s about enriching our educational outreach and providing an invaluable resource to the community.”
The five-year sponsorship not only designates KeyBank as the “Exclusive Bank of the Pro Football Hall of Fame,” but also includes opportunities for engagement with Hall of Fame players and the opportunity to integrate a strong financial literacy program into the Hall’s youth education initiatives. The move highlights the Hall’s intention to address the next generation’s financial acumen.
“As KeyBank marks its bicentennial, we’re doubling down on our commitment to Northeast Ohio through the KeyBank Center at the Pro Football Hall of Fame,” stated Chris Gorman, chairman & CEO of KeyCorp. “This partnership reflects our dedication to investing in our communities, expanding opportunities, and celebrating legacy. The KeyBank Center will be a dynamic space where future generations can learn, lead, and be inspired.”
The event center boasts a striking design. The first level will offer nearly 12,000 square feet of adaptable space, complete with a 27-foot glass wall that seamlessly blends the indoors with an adjacent field turf area. Additional amenities include full-service kitchen facilities and a panoramic rooftop terrace. Level two features a café, a luxurious VIP Club, and an additional 6,580 square feet of rooftop turf space, perfect for private parties.
“The City of Canton celebrates the addition of KeyBank Center,” said William V. Sherer II, mayor of Canton. “This project embodies our mutual pledge to honor both Canton’s legacy as the birthplace of the NFL, and to fuel its subsequent cultural and economic growth. The Hall has been great in bolstering key events to our city’s civic center; we are eager to work with them in this new step.”
Groundbreaking for The KeyBank Center at the Pro Football Hall of Fame is scheduled to occur in the fall of 2025, with completion targeted to coincide with the 2027 Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week.
