SINGAPOREAllison Worldwide and Stagwell (STGW) are doubling down on their Asia Pacific presence, tapping veteran leader Margaret Key to helm Allison Asia as CEO and simultaneously take on the role of Stagwell’s Executive Director for Asia Pacific. The move, effective October 1st, signals a strategic push to amplify communications capabilities and better serve clients in the dynamic APAC market.

Key brings over two decades of experience to the table, a CV marked by strategic acumen and a track record of visionary leadership. Based in Singapore, she will report directly to Allison Worldwide CEO Jonathan Heit.

Most recently, Key served as CEO of Publicis’ MSL Group in Asia Pacific. During her tenure, she orchestrated the transformation of a previously fragmented agency into a unified regional network, delivering substantial business growth and market expansion. Her prior experience includes stints at Edelman and Burson-Marsteller, both in Asia Pacific.

Key’s leadership hasn’t gone unnoticed. She’s been recognized with multiple industry accolades, including Campaign Asia’s Women to Watch and APAC Regional Consultancy of the Year, in addition to the London International Awards: APAC Regional PR Network of the Year. She also serves on the board of Verité, a global nonprofit organization dedicated to upholding labor rights – a testament to her commitment beyond the boardroom.

“Margaret is a proven force. Her appointment marks an exciting new phase for our Asia Pacific business,” said Ray Day, Executive Chair at Allison Worldwide and Vice Chair at Stagwell. “She shares our unwavering commitment to client success, built on a world-class team consistently delivering exceptional results.”

As CEO of Allison Asia, Key will spearhead the organization’s growth strategy in APAC, overseeing expansion plans and business development. As Stagwell’s Executive Director, Asia Pacific, she will drive regional market development and foster deeper client engagement by leveraging the full potential of the Stagwell network.

“I’m honored to assume these roles at this pivotal moment for both brands,” Key stated. “Allison and Stagwell have strong reputations in the marketing and communications landscape, and I’m excited to collaborate with our talented teams across Asia to enhance our cultural relevance, accelerate innovation, and drive sustainable growth for our clients.”
