Trump to Host Tech CEOs Dinner at Rose Garden Inaugural Event

U.S. President Trump is set to convene an exclusive gathering of leading figures from the tech and business worlds this Thursday at the White House’s newly renovated Rose Garden. The event aims to foster dialogue on key policy initiatives and solidify partnerships between the administration and the private sector.

Confirmed attendees, as per a White House official, include Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, and OpenAI’s Sam Altman. This lineup signals the administration’s focus on advancements in artificial intelligence and the broader digital economy.

The meeting, scheduled to follow a White House event on artificial intelligence hosted by first lady Melania Trump, will take the form of a dinner, providing an intimate setting for strategic discussions. This high-level engagement underscores the evolving dynamic between the Trump administration and the tech industry.

While the relationship has been characterized by periods of tension, many tech executives have actively sought to cultivate more collaborative ties, often participating in public events with the president to announce initiatives aligned with the administration’s objectives, particularly concerning emerging technologies, domestic job creation, and the reshoring of manufacturing.

Beyond the C-suite heavyweights, the guest list extends to other influential figures in the tech landscape. These include OpenAI president Greg Brockman; Google co-founder Sergey Brin; Palantir chief technology officer Shyam Sankar; and Alexandr Wang, co-founder of Scale AI and currently heading a superintelligence team at Meta.

David Sacks, a venture capitalist and the White House’s point person on crypto and AI policy, is expected to be present. Jared Isaacman, founder of Shift4, is also slated to attend.

One notable absence from the invitation list is Tesla CEO and SpaceX founder Elon Musk. Despite serving as a special government employee early in Trump’s current term, Musk experienced a well-publicized rift with the president, seemingly impacting his inclusion in this exclusive gathering.
