In a move signaling robust growth in the burgeoning display technology sector, Huike, a prominent player in consumer electronics, has announced a significant investment in a new M-LED chip manufacturing facility. The announcement came during a major industrial investment promotion event held recently in Chengdu.
Under the agreement, Huike plans to inject approximately 10 billion yuan into the construction of an advanced full-color M-LED display chip base in the Shunqing District. The project aims for a substantial monthly production capacity of one million chips.
The project will be rolled out in three phases. Phase 1 envisages a monthly capacity of 150,000 chips, focusing on the production of cutting-edge full-color M-LED display chips. Established in 2001, Huike has established itself as a nationally recognized high-tech enterprise specializing in the research, development, manufacture, and sale of visual consumer electronics.
The company already boasts an impressive infrastructure, including four 8.6-generation high-generation panel production lines and seven display terminal production bases spread across ten cities, including Chongqing, Mianyang, Changsha, and Zhengzhou. This network underlines Huike’s commitment to a complete supply chain, extending from display panels to fully assembled end products.
Market analysis indicates Huike’s strong footing in the large-sized TV panel and OEM sectors. In 2024, the company led the globe in both shipments of 85-inch LCD TV panels and OEM shipments of ultra-large-sized TVs (85 inches and larger).
Beyond televisions, Huike’s display technologies are integrated into diverse applications, including monitors, smartphones, laptops, automotive displays, and tablets. This broad deployment underscores Huike’s commitment to advancing the display industry towards higher resolutions, greater intelligence, and more versatile applications.
