CNBC AI News – In a move that’s sure to raise eyebrows (and perhaps a few noses), gaming hardware manufacturer ZOTAC has unveiled its latest product: F5 Esports Eau de Parfum.
Following a tongue-in-cheek April Fool’s Day announcement earlier this year, ZOTAC is bringing the joke to life with a fragrance reportedly formulated with a “proprietary blend of caffeine, taurine, and other secret ingredients.”
The scent profile is described as a combination of sea breeze, cypress, mint, and white musk, promising a fresh and woody aroma.
According to reports, the fragrance is designed to help gamers “stay fresh during intense gameplay, relieves mental fatigue, improves concentration, and speeds up reactions.”
The scent is designed to last for four to six hours with the top notes lasting for roughly 30 minutes followed by half an hour of mid notes and the base notes that are the most persistent.
This foray into the realm of olfactory accessories isn’t entirely unprecedented in the PC hardware space. Last year, ASUS launched a laptop with a built-in diffuser, targeting style-conscious laptop users, followed by an aromatic mouse.
Furthermore, some models of Yeston’s RTX 9070 XT graphics cards have also incorporated a perfume module, offering gamers an alternative to the scent of melting plastic.
