At the 2025 MWC Shanghai, Lenovo’s Executive Vice President and President of China, Liu Jun, delivered a keynote address, offering a deep dive into the company’s strategic moves in the AI era. He emphasized the dawn of a new “human-AI co-creation” epoch, where the capabilities of AI entities are doubling every few months, ushering in the fourth industrial revolution.
During his presentation titled “Full-Stack AI Fuels Enterprise Innovation and Productivity,” Liu unveiled Lenovo’s comprehensive AI strategy, a vision initiated back in 2017 with its “Lenovo Smart China” initiative. Lenovo has since developed a “full-stack AI” approach, encompassing AI terminals, AI infrastructure, and AI solutions and services, all powered by Lenovo’s Intelligent IT Engine – Qingtian.

“Lenovo drives its own transformation and continuously builds the intelligent IT engine—Qingtian, and forms full-stack AI products, solutions, and services based on customer scenarios and AI technology.” Liu stated, highlighting Lenovo’s commitment to leveraging its full-stack AI to boost enterprise productivity.
Qingtian: A Transformative Journey
AI to Automate 25% of Lenovo China’s Internal Processes
With Generative AI exploding and AI entities rapidly penetrating various sectors, AI is evolving from a mere “auxiliary tool” to the very core of productivity, supported by the national “AI+” strategy. Over eight years, Qingtian has evolved through four stages: cloud-native and platform-based (1.0), AI-embedded (2.0), Generative AI integrated (3.0), and AI-agent enabled 4.0.

Liu shared insights into Qingtian version 3.0, which included AI-powered entities in sales, marketing, and service operations. For instance, Lenovo’s marketing AI entity restructured content creation and smart distribution processes, cutting costs by 25%. Sales efficiency was also drastically improved, reducing the time to configure product configurations from 12 minutes to a mere 2.
“Today, with the support of AI entities, AI is achieving a leap from ‘creation’ to ‘action’. Qingtian also upgrades to 4.0.” He then noted that Lenovo is building “a silicon-based team” led by a super AI entity and in collaboration with domain-specific entities.
The launch of Lenovo Lexi, the enterprise-focused super AI entity in May, is a prime example. Serving as a new official portal for employees, customers, partners, and the public, Lexi has contributed to a 270% increase in weekly customer activity and a 30% jump in order conversion rates. Lenovo China aims to automate 25% of its internal processes in the fiscal year 2025. The goal is to boost innovation and productivity through human-AI collaboration.
Full-Stack AI: The Catalyst for Human-AI Synergy
Accelerating AI Accessibility for Every Business and Individual
The MWC Shanghai showcased Lenovo’s full-stack AI offerings. The AI terminals, including the Tianxi personal super AI entity and AI PCs, phones, and tablets, and the AI innovation results such as the Lenovo Lexi super AI entity and the city super AI entity, captured significant attention.

Lenovo’s AI terminal strategy is characterized by “one core, multiple endpoints,” specifically, the Tianxi personal super AI entity, which is embedded in Lenovo’s AI PCs, AI phones, tablets, and AIoT devices. The integration of Tianxi, built on trusted computing and end-cloud integration, offers a unified experience across hardware and operating systems. Lenovo is rolling out AI PCs globally, and sales have surpassed one million units in the past year, with upward growth expected in the new fiscal year, driven by Tianxi.
From an AI infrastructure perspective, Lenovo has established a “one-horizontal, five-vertical” framework. The “one-horizontal” is the Wanqin Heterogeneous Computing Platform, recognized as a significant achievement in the AI computing field. Collaborating with the largest AI computing hub in China, Lenovo and Suihong Huachuang, the green smart computing center, boosted the utilization rate of model floating-point calculations from 30% to 60% in large-scale training environments. The “five verticals” encompass servers, storage, data networks, software and hyper-convergence, and support and maintenance services. Lenovo holds a top three position in China’s server market and has shown the fastest growth among the leading server brands.
Liu emphasized Lenovo’s dual-track technological approach, combining international and domestic technologies to provide AI infrastructure solutions. Furthermore, Lenovo has distinguished itself through its distinct competitive advantages in heterogeneous computing management, liquid cooling, and service offerings.
In the AI solutions and service sector, Lenovo is the leading IT service provider in China. Lenovo is driving the industry transition to AI services through its strategy of “One Engine, Three Arrows” where “One Engine” refers to the intelligent IT engine – Qingtian, and “Three Arrows” target government clients(政企), small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and consumers.
For government clients, Lenovo, leveraging Qingtian 4.0, is focusing on core offerings which include a super entity matrix, xCloud smart cloud, ESG initiatives, Zhensun services, and comprehensive AI solutions. Lenovo offers end-to-end AI services to government clients, from AI strategic consulting to AI and AI entity solution design, integration, and implementation. In the realm of smart cities, Lenovo is utilizing city super AI entities to usher in the 4.0 era of smart cities, and as of June, Lenovo and the Hongkou District of Shanghai announced plans to jointly develop a city super AI entity to serve as a demonstration.
For SMEs, Lenovo Baiying AI entity delivers IT maintenance (AI services), AI office applications, and AI marketing solutions under an “Agent-as-a-Service” model, assisting clients in revenue growth, cost reduction, and operational efficiency. In August, the AI office and AI marketing applications will be upgraded to L3 intelligent levels.
For consumer clients, Lenovo’s Xiangbangbang AI entity was launched on May 8th, redefining personal device services through proactive AI capabilities, by sensing issues proactively to eliminate user waiting times. It has already provided smart support to 360,000 new users, achieving over 20,000 weekly active users.
Liu concluded by stating that China’s AI industry is transitioning from rapid development to an acceleration phase, enabling AI accessibility across various sectors. He expressed his optimism about collaborating with partners to shape the AI future in China.
