A “Superstar ML Engineer” role boasting an annual base salary of $350,000 USD (approximately 2.51 million RMB), with a staggering four-year total compensation package reaching a cool $20 million USD (around 140 million RMB).

It’s crucial to note that these figures primarily represent annual base salaries. Bonuses, stock options, and other benefits can often double or even triple the total compensation package.

Specifically, Software Engineers at Meta appear to command the highest base salaries, with annual figures reaching up to $480,000 USD (approximately 3.45 million RMB), and even entry-level positions starting at $120,000 USD (around 860,000 RMB).

Machine Learning Engineers aren’t far behind, with top earners pulling in as much as $440,000 USD annually (approximately 3.15 million RMB).

In today’s tech landscape, any role with an AI component seems to guarantee a six-figure starting salary, often exceeding 1 million RMB.

This includes positions such as AI Research Scientists ($170k-$230k), AI Product Marketing Managers ($220k), and ML Research Scientists ($230k), among others.

Data-focused roles are also in high demand, mirroring the AI boom. Data Scientists and Data Engineers can expect annual salaries of up to $270,000 USD (approximately 1.94 million RMB), while Data Analysts typically earn between $168,000 to $204,000 USD.

Even non-research roles like Product Managers are seeing lucrative compensation, often surpassing $200,000 USD annually.

The filings indicate that Meta Product Managers can earn between $160,000 and $310,000 USD, with Product Designers falling into the $159,000 to $283,000 USD range.

While Meta has yet to officially comment on these figures, comparisons with compensation offered by other major tech players suggest that Meta is indeed making a very generous play for top talent.
