Shanghai buzzed with AI innovation as the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) and the High-Level Global AI Governance Conference kicked off at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center on July 26th. DEEP Robotics, a frontrunner in embodied intelligence technology and its industry applications, made a splash, showcasing its latest advancements.
Spanning three days, this year’s WAIC expanded to over 70,000 square meters, drawing more than 800 leading global companies. Under the theme of “Intelligent Era, Shared Future,” the conference comprehensively displayed the AI ecosystem, from core technologies to practical industry solutions. DEEP Robotics captivated attendees with a 150-square-meter immersive exhibition area, featuring a realistic power inspection scenario, live demonstrations of end-to-end robotic workflows, and showcases of its latest evolved products and their embodied intelligence capabilities.
Realistic Power Inspection: A Glimpse into Practical Application
True to form as an embodied intelligence company deeply invested in industry applications, DEEP Robotics constructed a miniature power inspection site at their booth, demonstrating how its quadruped robots are capable of tackling real-world industrial tasks.
At the center of it all was the Jueying X30 quadruped robot, transforming into an efficient inspector within the simulated power inspection environment. The robot demonstrated the ability to accurately identify pointer instruments, digital and status meters, infrared temperatures, and indicator lights. To mimic the endurance demands of a real industrial setting, the exhibit included a charging station. The Jueying X30 autonomously monitored its battery levels and proceeded to recharge itself, highlighting the potential for unmanned continuous operation. Previously, DEEP Robotics’ robots achieved over 1,000 hours of average fault-free operation at a converter station in Zhejiang.
DEEP Robotics’ independently developed “Intelligent Inspection System” orchestrates the entire inspection process by leveraging intelligent identification and self-calibration technology, which has been proven to maintain a consistent accuracy rate exceeding 95%. The system can proactively respond to unexpected events in complex environments, even completing autonomous inspections and returning to base when network connectivity is lost. With its ability to manage multiple “robot dogs” simultaneously, the Intelligent Inspection System significantly improves the efficiency and quality of large-scale, comprehensive inspections and is slated for imminent release, accelerating the adoption of quadruped robots for intelligent inspection on a broader scale.
A Portfolio of Innovations
DEEP Robotics highlighted its product matrix and industry solution, showcasing the progress in perception, interaction, and motion control.
The Jueying Lite3 was the focus, a sought-after product for in-person interaction. Teaming up with MobTech, DEEP Robotics presented a novel paradigm for human-machine collaboration: Instead of relying on traditional remote controls, visitors could don AR glasses to step into the robot’s perspective and, through hand gestures, perform interactive tasks. The experience illustrated the potential of integrating the body with AI-driven solutions.
The recently viral Leaper robot and its industry-specific counterpart, the Leaper M20, were also highlighted. Through demonstrations of traversing 70-centimeter-high platforms and performing acrobatic maneuvers, the robots exhibited advanced motion control and terrain adaptation capabilities.
The flagship Jueying X30 quadruped robot was presented with solutions for power, security, and emergency services, underscoring DEEP Robotics’ proficiency in tailoring services to diverse industry needs.
The World Artificial Intelligence Conference provided a dynamic platform for showcasing DEEP Robotics’ embodied intelligence solutions. DEEP Robotics has deployed its products and services in over 600 industry applications across 44 countries and regions, spanning construction surveying, industrial operations, emergency response, power inspection, security, and research.
DEEP Robotics will enhance R&D efforts and leverage innovation to spearhead technological advancements and deliver safer, more intelligent solutions.
