On August 15th, 360 Group celebrated its 20th anniversary with a grand event at the Beijing Olympic Sports Center. Founder Zhou Hongyi addressed thousands of employees, reflecting on the company’s two-decade journey and unveiling 360’s next strategic move: going “All In Agent.” To ensure the successful implementation of this strategy, 360 Group is also revamping its mission, vision, and core values.
Zhou stated that at this pivotal moment, 360 must shed past accomplishments and regrets, embracing a “beginner’s mind” and a “Day One” mentality as it embarks on a new chapter. “We possess a deep bench of talent, significant technological expertise, a wealth of data, and a solid cash flow – these are the assets 360 has accumulated over the past 20 years, and they form the bedrock of our success in this new AI wave.”
20 Years in the Making: From Cybersecurity Leader to “AI+ Security” National Team
During the anniversary celebration, Zhou Hongyi gave a comprehensive overview of 360’s key milestones. Over two decades, 360 Group has risen from the fiercely competitive cybersecurity landscape to become a leading player in China, evolving into a “national team for digital security and AI.” The company boasts the world’s largest cybersecurity big data repository and a national-level capability for detecting and defending against cyberattacks. It leads in several global cybersecurity metrics and holds eight industry-first benchmarks in China.
With the rapid advancement of AI, 360 views it as the next strategic pillar. The company has already developed what it claims is China’s leading AI search engine and intelligent agent application: the Nano AI Multi-Agent Swarm.
Zhou attributes this success to the dedication of every 360 employee, and the spirit of “daring” and “innovation” deeply embedded within the company’s DNA. “It is through everyone’s continuous improvement that 360 has been able to constantly achieve breakthroughs and innovation.”
AI Breakthroughs: Nano AI Multi-Agent Swarm Deployed; “360 Intelligent Agent Factory” Empowers Industries.
Zhou Hongyi emphasized in his speech that 2025 will be the “Year of the Intelligent Agent.” Compared to large language models (LLMs) on their own, intelligent agents represent a more advanced evolutionary stage. LLMs are akin to the “brain,” responsible for reasoning and decision-making; intelligent agents, however, add the “hands and feet” – the ability to independently plan tasks, break down processes, and utilize tools, addressing the core issue of LLMs being “only capable of thinking but not doing.”
Drawing inspiration from autonomous driving levels, 360 has classified intelligent agents into five levels (L1 to L5). These range from basic L1 chatbots and L2 workflow agents with fixed processes, to L3 agents with independent reasoning capabilities, L4 multi-agent swarms capable of collaborative tasks, and the exploratory L5 self-evolving agents. This classification clearly outlines a development roadmap for the industry.
At the anniversary event, Zhou Hongyi revealed 360’s technological advancements in the field of intelligent agents. Currently, Nano AI has achieved a 98.2% success rate in L3 reasoning-type intelligent agents executing 100 consecutive tasks without errors, consuming one million tokens per instance, and utilizing 100+ tools. The L4 multi-agent swarm can accomplish 1000 consecutive tasks, consume 5-30 million tokens, with a 95.4% success rate, and generate a complete 30-minute video from a single sentence, showcasing the powerful capabilities of multi-agent collaboration.
To promote the widespread adoption of intelligent agents across industries, 360 has launched the “Intelligent Agent Factory,” enabling frontline employees to quickly create L1 to L4 intelligent agents or “multi-agent swarms” without requiring programming knowledge. This allows enterprises to flexibly deploy internal and external intelligent agent teams to complete complex tasks, much like “hiring employees”.
Strategic Upgrade: ALL IN Agent, Seizing the First-Mover Advantage in the Intelligent Agent Era
At this new starting point, marking its 20th anniversary, Zhou Hongyi emphasized that the changes brought about by AI are profoundly reshaping the industrial landscape, especially the security sector. 360 will embrace the new journey with a beginner’s mindset, leveraging its powerful advantages accumulated over the past two decades to master the new AI wave and achieve renewed success.
Zhou stated that the immense opportunity presented by AI is at hand, with intelligent agents poised to reshape individual roles and organizational structures. Now is the time to re-embark and pivot to new tracks, and going “All in Agent” is 360’s clear roadmap. Zhou encouraged all employees to unite, focus, and strive to achieve “three super” objectives:
First, encourage all 360 employees to develop an AI mindset and cultivate AI literacy, considering ‘how to use intelligent agents to amplify their own value.’ Everyone must learn to use, build, manage, supervise, and lead intelligent agents, collaborate deeply with them, and transform themselves into super individuals and super employees.
Second, require all business units and departments across the company to use the intelligent agent utilization rate to measure the level of evolution of all business processes and job functions, to create super teams and super organizations.
Third, reshape all company products with intelligent agents. In the software development 3.0 era, new products must develop functionality with intelligent agents as the paradigm, while existing products in operation and service must be reshaped with intelligent agents.
To align with the “All in Agent” strategy, 360 has comprehensively upgraded its mission, vision, and core values. The mission has been upgraded to “Making the AI World Safer and Better,” the vision has been upgraded to “Becoming the Safest AI Innovator,” and the core values focus on five key dimensions: “Users First, Always Entrepreneurial, Continuously Innovative, Pursuing Excellence, Collaboration and Self-Discipline.”
Zhou Hongyi also announced the launch of a series of activities, including an internal “360 Intelligent Agent Innovation Competition” and an “AI Video Competition,” as well as an “AI Video Creative Competition” in partnership with Xinhuanet, aimed at stimulating internal and external innovation.
In closing, Zhou Hongyi stated that, standing at the new AI starting line, all employees will use the “beginner’s mind” and accumulated technical know-how as the foundation, with “All in Agent” as the engine. This will not only solidify the security foundation for industrial digitization but also open up new AI horizons, encouraging a spirit of “Dare AI, Dare to Act,” to create a shared and brighter future.
