LONG BEACH, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Rocket Lab Corporation (Nasdaq: RKLB), a key player in the launch services and space systems arena, marked a significant milestone today with the successful launch of its 70th Electron mission. This achievement cements Rocket Lab’s position as a global leader in responsive launch solutions and underscores Electron’s status as the world’s most frequently launched small orbital rocket.

The mission, aptly named ‘Live, Laugh, Launch,’ lifted off from Rocket Lab Launch Complex 1 in Mahia, New Zealand at 22:42 UTC on August 23rd. This launch follows less than three weeks after Electron’s previous successful mission from the same location, highlighting the company’s rapid-fire operational tempo.

Sir Peter Beck, Rocket Lab Founder and CEO, commenting on the achievement stated: “Reaching our 70th launch is a powerful moment for Rocket Lab. What’s even more remarkable is the pace at which we are achieving these milestones. This mission is the latest testament to the responsiveness and operational maturity of Electron and the entire Rocket Lab team.”

Industry analysts note that ‘Live, Laugh, Launch’ represents Electron’s 12th mission of 2025 as Rocket Lab continues to execute its ambitious launch schedule. Notably, the company set a record in the prior quarter with two launches from Launch Complex 1 occurring just two days apart in late June. A significant portion of Electron missions this year, including today’s, are continuations of multi-launch contracts with satellite operators. This underscores the industry’s increasing reliance on Electron for reliable, dedicated access to space for small satellites looking to populate low Earth orbit. All this transpires as the Company continues its preparations to debut Neutron, its new medium-lift reusable rocket, a strategic move that aims to expand Rocket Lab’s offerings to a broader market segment.

Rocket Lab is expected to announce details relating to its next Electron mission from Launch Complex 1 in the coming days.
