Eskay Mining Kicks Off 2025 Exploration Campaign This Month

Eskay Mining Corp. is launching an aggressive June exploration campaign in British Columbia’s Golden Triangle, focusing on the high-grade gold veins at its Consolidated Eskay project. They aim to expand the Vermillion zone, where significant assays were discovered in 2024. CEO Mac Balkam highlights the project’s potential, citing its proximity to Newmont’s Brucejack Mine and aiming to refine a drilling strategy. Exploration will also target the Ted Morris and Big Red zones.

TORONTO, ON / June 6, 2025 – Eskay Mining Corp. (TSXV:ESK) is gearing up for an aggressive exploration campaign this month, targeting promising gold veins within its Consolidated Eskay project in British Columbia’s “Golden Triangle.” The company’s move comes as it aims to capitalize on last year’s eye-popping high-grade assays, which saw samples yielding up to 205 g/t of gold.

According to CEO and President Mac Balkam, the focus of the 2025 exploration drive is clear: “Put some size to this trend and develop a drill strategy to test its potential.” The company is betting on late-season drilling to unlock the full potential of what looks to be a significant new discovery.

The upcoming field work will concentrate particularly on a 210-meter zone identified at Vermillion, where those compelling high-grade samples were unearthed in 2024. The aim is to expand the strike length and pinpoint ideal drill sites for later this year. Additional exploration will occur at the Ted Morris and Big Red Zone, located roughly 2 kilometers east of Vermillion, an area that also returned high grade gold in 2024, presenting a prime drilling target. The team will also be looking to establish whether the zones at Vermillion and Ted Morris are connected and if the overall mineralized trend extends westward towards Red Lightening.

Balkam is bullish on the Vermillion trend, noting that its potential takes on added significance given its proximity – just 9 kilometers – to Newmont’s Valley of the Kings at the Brucejack Mine. This strategic location, in a mining-friendly jurisdiction, could add major upside to a successful discovery.
